    Hi Toueix,

glad to hear your update went well. Yes, AIDIA is a bit slow and has some known bugs. It would be nice if you can tell us your impressions, what would you change/add, etc...

    Best regards,

    AISoy Team

Yea AIDIA does indeed launch yea and Airos does stop, after you reboot, but now we can try doing some things, thanks for your hard work. ;-)

    What is rosbridge?

  • Lloyd Fitchen

Hi, I have been trying to run the wolfram.py, I have even cloned your git hub library, but I keep getting (No module named rospy) is it missing?

    Yours, Lloyd

  • Lloyd Fitchen

after updating to the latest experimental repository...has anyone had problems getting no audio? or it is just me...Everything else that didn´t work before such as aidia now works..but I cannot get any audio at all...I run the hello world program in python and just get mouth gestures and no audio.

  • Lloyd Fitchen

Yep I have the same behavior. no sound, i did hear espeak say ill repeat anything you say. then nothing.

  • Eduardo Perez

Well...I fixed it.. I just changed the cable audio cable that came with it with another one. tadahhh! magic...some times they are very poor quality and are easy to stop working...now it works with no problem...try jiggling it to see if you get a good contact but don't force it since you can damage the audio port. Cheers.

    Hi all,

if you are having problems with both the software or hardware, like the audio cable issue, please let us know it. We want to improve AISoy1 as much as we can, and of course we'll send you another audio cable if it is causing problems.

Lloyd, let us know if you where able to fix the audio problem. You can make a quick test plugging a pair of headphones to the raspberryPi.

    Best regards,

    Lloyd,

rosbridge is needed to use Scratch:

    http://scratch.mit.edu/

We will publish a tutorial explaining how to use it in the following days.

Yes! I re-built my SD card and low and behold on 0.69 and the voice ASR chatscript works on boot and things are looking up ;-)

When you make a AIDIA program with visual GUI how do you clean up i.e. start over new? or save the work and start new. I seem to have the program sorta locked in unless i go in and

remove each node manualy, not very optimal but shows off the bot ;-)

  • Lloyd Fitchen

ok my bad it works, ;-)

*.ab extention, hopefully the smile or arrow or what ever you set up in the smile icon app in aidia, it seem's to revert back to a solid block of leds all on. I most likely just need

    to play more.

  • Lloyd Fitchen

What does the acronym AIDIA actually stand for?

  • Lloyd Fitchen

I have a question. The .Xauthority seems to get smushed "technical term", even if you use mv .Xauthority .newname.bak and log out and back to rebuild it. However It does work when you first

upgrade but only one time. Is this normal?

  • Lloyd Fitchen

I got it working, sorry. Odd there must be a order to updating and upgrading that works well and others that work not so well.

    Hi Lloyd,

we just created a post for AIDIA:

    https://aisoy.zendesk.com/entries/53152526-AIDIA-feedback

You can find a video tutorial showing the basics. We would really appreciate if you can tell us you impressions on this post.

    Thank!

    Regards,

    AISoy Team

Cool thanks. By the way what I found wrong was a nasty I got ya bug. If you change manually the /etc/network/interfaces file and manually add you wifi, It kills the Xserver until you

remove your added ssid and password.

The sensor in the robots no longer seems to work in the stable or the experimental releases. ;-(

  • Lloyd Fitchen

The actual error is "length of command ALL_SENSORS is 4 and should be of 5. Command: 1.0#0#255"

  • Support

    Hi Lloyd,

typically this error appears when the firmware version of the robot and the SD version are different. Have you tried to update lately? Can you update the firmware from the botserver? (In the botserver update section)

    Regards,

    AISoy Team

  • Lloyd Fitchen

firmware version 0.1 is all i seem to be able to do. Is the the correct firmware?

  • Support

    Hi Lloyd,

write you directly to your email. Then we'll publish the solution to everyone.

  • Lloyd Fitchen

Ok but i'm going to shelf my bots till the asr and senor bugs are fix as this makes aisoy pretty much DOA

  • Lloyd Fitchen

I saw a firmware update was available as 0.56 but I got a error trying to run the updater, at the very end after reading the packing list, and Building, installing and then it says excption executing command:c

Exception in tryReconnection()...... and reboots? so i am still at firmware 0.1 and can not update any ideas whats up?

  • Lloyd Fitchen

Oh no are all these issues firmware issues, unable to download to the robot? Is there anyway to correct this or give a demo on howto update to the correct fimware to the software.

I can n ot be taking the assoy1 apart as i did to one an he is still in parts all over the place, my fingers are not so good at 64 years of age ;-) maybe even a bin image that matches the software, please?

  • Support

    Hi Lloyd,

0.57 is the version of the debian package, and 0.1 the version of the firmware. If your version is 0.1 you are then up-to-date. When the update process finishes the firmware reboot the freedom, so it is "normal" if you get some warning messages. If you reboot everything should work correctly.

    Regards,

    Aisoy Team

  • Lloyd Fitchen

Yea! Team Aisoy or who ever gets the pat on the back. ;-) firware 0.11 fixes the head sensor bug, now they all work yes!

Now ;-) How are you doing on the ASR ?
